Find Castletown

Castletown is easily accessible by car and is only 10 minutes away from Liffey Valley Shopping Centre and the M50. It is just 20km from Dublin City Centre and 28km from Dublin Airport.

By Car

Coming from Dublin on the M4, take Exit 6 (Celbridge West/Leixlip West Exit – R449, signposted for Castletown and Hewlett Packard).
 Access by car is through the gates off Barnhall Road only – the gates at Main Street Celbridge are for pedestrian/bicycle access only.

By Bus

By Dublin Bus: Bus route C4
The bus trip from Dublin city centre to Celbridge Main Street takes approximately 45 minutes. From here, it is a 10 minute walk to Castletown House.

Accessibility

Disabled parking is available at the Kitchen Wing/Café side of the house (the far side of the house as you approach by car).

Please note there is limited accessibility of the museum rooms, and no wheelchair access to the first or second floor of the main house or the Hunting Room in the Stable Wing. Prams and buggies are not allowed in the museum rooms and must be left at reception.
