When can I view potential venues for my event at Castletown House?

How can I book a venue at Castletown House?

All provisional bookings may be made by email. Get in touch to check availability for your event.

Can anyone book a venue at Castletown House?

All venues in Castletown House are available for corporate hire. Event spaces Castletown House are not available for hire to private individuals.

I want to use Castletown’s grounds for an event – is this possible?

We consider proposals for outdoor events on a case-by-case basis. Please contact us with your idea or query.

Which catering companies can I use?

We recommend using catering companies from this approved panel or the on-site catering company, The Caterers. It is a condition of hire that the agreement of Castletown Events Management be obtained in advance of the awarding of any catering contract.

Can I get married at Castletown?

Castletown House is not available for wedding ceremonies.

Do you have Wi-Fi?

Yes, complimentary Wi-Fi is available throughout the complex in all venues.

Do you have cloakroom facilities?

Cloakroom facilities are available in all of our venues.

Can I avail of tours for my delegates?

Once your event has been confirmed with us, we can arrange tours of Castletown House for your delegates.

Why do I have to leave my backpack in a locker?

To avoid accidental knocks and scrapes to delicate items along walkways and corridors, we ask that you leave your bag in one of our lockers before starting your visit. Lockers require a €1 deposit.

Can I take a buggy/pram into the main house?

Unfortunately, prams and buggies are not allowed in the museum rooms. We will store these for you during your visit – please ask one of our guides at the information desk for assistance.

Does the house have wheelchair access?

While the house has a lift, it is not a fire lift and so, unfortunately, only the ground floor is universally accessible.

Do you have any information material in foreign languages?

Yes, we offer a leaflet with information on Castletown House in the following languages: Irish, English, French, Spanish, German, Chinese, Italian and Polish.

Can I take photographs?

Yes, you may take photographs and videos for personal use while visiting Castletown. Feel free to share them with us and on social media. Inside the house, however, please turn off your flash, as our collection is light sensitive. Please note that selfie sticks and tripods are not allowed to be used during your visit and we would ask you not to video or record guided tours.

I am attending a meeting/conference in Castletown. How do I find my venue?

Our conferencing facilities are all located in the Stable Wing (facing the house, the wing is on your right hand side). Events held there will be signposted for your convenience. Our staff on site will also be happy to direct you.
